Launched in 1992, the reference 30050 can be considered as an important milestone in the modern history of theVacheron Constantin. lt was indeed the first tourbillon wristwatch presented by the Maison.

It was part of the “7 marvels” concept of 1992 where Vacheron Constantin launched 7 watches, each representing atechnical or artistic prowess: extra flat, minute repeater, tourbillon, skeletonized movements, high jewelry, perpetualcalendar chronograph and pocket watch with enamel miniature painting.

Produced during ess than 10 vears, caliber 1760 was manufactured to 300 units, less than 140 of them were assembled inplatinum cases and 160 in vellow gold. Each exemplary is individually numbered.Caliber 1760, elaborated with three bridges and double barrel, displays a large power reserve indicator. The dial, in gold.was guilloche by hand and reveals an iconic implementation of the power reserve indication, at twelve o’clock, which wasinspired from Vacheron Constantin’s desk chronometers used on ships.Reference 30050 is a perfect example of the return of grand complications in Haute Horlogerie at the beginning of the1990’s
